Hanoi City

The capital city of Hanoi's People's Committee has decided to stage five high-range fireworks displays, alongside 25 smaller ones, across the city on the Lunar New Year's Eve.

Major areas earmarked for festivities include Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake, Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung District, Lac Long Quan Garden in Tay Ho District, Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong District and My Dinh National Stadium in Nam Tu Lien District.

The committee also approved a proposal for fireworks to be set off at the Hong (Red) River's alluvial ground under the Long Bien Bridge.

The highlight of this year’s festivals is the firework displays combined light performance to welcome Lunar New Year 2015. Such these programs will be held at night Eve’s moment February 18, 2015 within 15 minutes at 8 points: Bitexco Financial Tower (district 1), Dam Sen Cultural Park (district 11), Thu Thiem Tunnel (district 2), Ethnic cultural and history Park (district 9), Nga Ba Giong Relic area (Hoc Mon District), Lang Le – Bau Co (Binh Chanh district), Cultural Center District 12 and Can Gio District.
